While I can appreciate why you want this functionality, it would be expensive to implement, and I for one, definitely do not want to pay for VNC access to my NAS. The majority of QNAP's customers are probably "consumers" rather than "IT managers and support persons", so the majority would get no benefit from this functionality, but would still need to "pay" for it, if it was implemented. Adding additional RAM and TeamViewer licencing would increase QNAP's costs, so they would be forced to pass on this expense to their customers in the form of higher prices.

TeamViewer (as a client) is free for "non-commercial use", but would require licencing payment in order to access NAS units installed in Enterprise networks. Adding Teamviewer functionality would require licencing Teamviewer in order to add it to the NAS. Implementing "X" on a QNAP NAS would require a complete Hardware redesign, in order to increase the RAM on our NAS units in order to be able to implement it.

QNAP does not install "X" in any of their NAS units.

It creates this functionality, by making both "server" and "client" establish their SSH connection via TeamViewers server. TeamViewer is basically a proprietory application that provides VNC connections over SSH. This is desirable in situations where direct management of the NAS is necessary and file access is less of a priority. I think it is more transparent, easier to setup and would provide must better response than Cloud access.
